NEIL LENNON has hinted at a change of tact against his Glasgow Derby opponents in future after two below-par performances against the Ibrox side.

Celtic won the League Cup in December but it was a less than ideal performance on the day but it was the result that mattered. Celtic then lost the game 2-1 on their own patch in the last game of 2019 and didn’t deserve the three points on the day.

The Celtic manager isn’t burying his head in the sand and knows he must look to change things in the next Glasgow Derby game. However, he puts the defeat into a bit of perspective with the team winning 12 games in a row before the Glasgow Derby.

“We need to analyse the Rangers game. It would be remiss not to.” Lennon told SunSport.

“We can’t just say it was a blip and one of those days. We have to analyse it because we weren’t great in the Betfred Cup final either.

“There is definitely room for improvement there. Maybe we will need to change the way we play to accommodate the opposition.

“But we had a run of 12 wins in a row on the back of the previous defeat, before losing that big one.

“We’ll take time to refocus and regroup and get fresh again. We’ll see what the second half of the season brings.”

Celtic are top of the league having played a game more than their Glasgow rivals, they know they have no room for error upon their return to the SPFL this month.

It will be up to the players to show they can bounce back from the defeat and come out the other end stronger.

Freshening up the squad will also help get the team motivated for the next four months.

  1. Wiil give Neil a heads up, drop Brown McGregor Forrest, Bolingoli, and start seeing forward attacking football as it should be, we all look at the defence but in reality its these less skilled players that fuck our play 2 of them pass back all the time, the other 2 if they don’t hit a brick wall, they are down on their arse there shooting ability is questionable most weeks

  2. A “change of tact? Oh, they’re going to start being polite to them? Does nobody sub these articles? Or, don’t you care?
