Neil Lennon was not in the mood to talk about potential incoming transfers or specific rumours on Monday afternoon during his pre-match press conference.

The Celtic manager was taking questions as he prepares his side to start their Champions League adventure on Tuesday evening but got very short with journalists when asked about Shane Duffy.

“Look, guys, I keep repeating myself: I’m not going to talk about players until they’re in the building.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“You get a rumour here, speculation there; about players going, players coming in.

“I’m not prepared to comment on any player who is affiliated with another club until they’re sat next to me.”

Celtic have been rumoured to be chasing the Irish defender but if they’re in for Shane, Neil Lennon isn’t prepared to discuss it.

The other theory is there’s nothing to discuss, but then again, Lenny could have just quashed the rumour right there and then.

There’s no doubt Celtic are looking for a new centre-back, whether that’s Shane Duffy or not remains to be seen.

The bhoys kick-off at 7:45pm on Tuesday night in a one-off tie to get to the second qualifying round of the Champions League. KR are in town ahead of the tie and will be looking to shock the Scottish champions inside an empty Celtic Park.
