Between now and the end of the season the speculation of who is going to be the next full-time Celtic manager is going to occupy a lot of air time.

The club is in a position they rarely find itself in and the last time this happened, it was Neil Lennon who came to the rescue after the Tony Mowbray sacking.

With Lenny here until the summer, it gives Celtic some sort of stability going forward in the hope they can wrap up the title and perhaps the treble treble.

Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess who will be the next full-time man in the hot seat. However, a new candidate has emerged for the role and we’d be surprised if any Celtic fans were over enthused. According to MailSport, Celtic is looking into the possibility of bringing former Hamilton, Norwich and current Preston boss Alex Neil into the fold.

Neil is currently doing wonders on a shoestring budget at Preston and has done well with both Hamilton and Norwich during his young managerial career. The Celtic job is a whole different animal and could swallow managers up who are not prepared for it.

  1. It is now becoming clearer by the day that there are many out there that would have loved to have seen Celtic fc fold after Brendan Rodgers walked out,but Celtic did not fold and they got the right man in as one walked out a old hero walked back in,it was said that Neil Lennon has big boots to fill but so will any new manager if and when Lennon goes, his record with a small budget at Hibernian compared to both Old firm clubs shows us he more than held his own in those games, it was he who started the journey for 10-in-a-row now every one needs to get behind Lennon and let him try and finish the job he started….

  2. Lennon seems to have brought something more to the team they look a little more direct which in my humble opinion is a good thing. HH
