Japan International Kyogo Furuhashi has been subbed off in the 48th minute for his country after picking up an injury. Kyogo was said to be unchallenged and holding his knee in japans match against China. Japan currently lead 1-0.

Before the international break, Kyogo was in fine form. In his first nine games for Celtic, he had netted the ball seven times. He has demonstrated to be an incredible goal threat and one of the first names on the team sheet but his potential injury should worry hoops fans.

It is not yet known the extent of the injury but it doesn’t look good.

Back up to Kyogo includes Albian Ajeti and Georgios Giakoumakis. Ajeti doesn’t seem to be good enough after joining last summer and yet to get a run of games under his belt.

New signing Giakoumakis arrived on deadline day for £2.5 million and is yet to play for Celtic, but both strikers are completely different. Kyogo is small and pacey, he commonly makes runs and is a handful for defenders.

When compared to Greek international Georgios Giakoumakis, he is tall and a physical presence in the box.

We hope for the best, and that Kyogo has only picked up a knock and has been taken off as a precaution.
