Celtic take on Riga this evening in a one-legged game from Latvia in round three of the Europa League qualifying and kick-off is at the earlier time of 6 pm.

Neil Lennon has sprung a few surprises with team selections this season giving way to the idea that the Celtic boss still does not know his best starting eleven or formation. Just when fans get what they want with a team selection, the rug quickly gets pulled and a new formation pops up.

Tonight’s game is probably a more understandable night for a tinker with formations, Celtic’s European away record is not exactly full of bells and whistles. Usually Celtic rely on getting a team back to Glasgow to take care of business.

Neil Lennon only gets one chance at Riga, so how much will this factor in his team selection? Odsonne Edouard is back in contention tonight while Jullien won’t travel. The only other casualty was Mikey Johnston who has not played this season anyway. So Neil Lennon basically has any weapon of his choice for tonight.

The majority of Celtic fans would rather see the champions going out on their sword rather than playing unfamiliar line-ups to suit the opposition. It’s time to go all in.
