Lionel Messi heaped more praise on the Celtic support last night when he deemed Celtic Park the best venue to play at in European football. The little Argentinian spoke of his delight at being able to return to Celtic Park so soon after his last visit but also vowed he wants a better result this time.

“I’ve been fortunate to play in some great stadiums in Europe with Barcelona but none compare to Celtic.

“I’m very excited to play at Celtic again in the group stages. Of course, last time we played in Scotland it was not a good result for us, but next time we will be looking to win.”

Lionel knows more than anyone that any Celtic team with the backing of our fantastic support can move mountains under the flood lights of Paradise.

It was only last November when Celtic Park was immersed in sheer bliss when Victor Wanyama and Tony Watt bagged the two goals that sent the wee man and his team packing. Although he did score a consolation goal.

Celtic have 3 massive games at home in the Champions League and will look to use home advantage to pick up as many points as possible.

As per usual our club has been written off from even being competitive in their group.

All we know is when the Champions League music hits and the roar from the crowed gets louder and louder; the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and we pump our fists in the air we know we have a chance against anyone!

COYBIG!
