Forker Sky Sports man David Tanner has had a go at Celtic and Brendan Rodgers for the development of Jack Hendry after the defender moved out on loan to Melbourne City for the rest of the season.
The pundit claims Celtic and his previous manager failed him by not aiding his development after his Scotland cap last year, like getting a Scotland cap was the sign of anything.
In-fact, many Celtic supporters and Scotland fans were miffed when the player did receive a call up considering his lack of game time.
Jack is a quiet lad and a great professional but in the games he did manage to play for Celtic he showed no real reason why he should continue to be picked. Yes, we must develop our young talent but we would ask Mr Tanner who Jack would have got in front of the past two seasons; Boyata? Benkovic? Simunovic? Jullien? Ajer? No chance.
Good luck to young Jack in Oz.
An exciting lifestyle change.
Just over a year ago, he was in the Scotland team. By any standards, that’s woeful player development by Celtic. Brendan Rodgers did so much good there (do the Thought Police allow you to say that?) but he failed Jack. https://t.co/zx7dUME90J— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) January 22, 2020
Safe to say, the responses from Celtic fans underneath wasn’t complimentary.
