The Celtic boss has continually had to repeat himself for most of September when it comes to his star striker Odsonne Edouard. The media have been pushing the narrative that his poor run of form correlates with a move away from Glasgow.

To this point, the Celtic manager has always maintained there has been no official bid for Eddy and one wouldn’t be welcome so close to the window.

Celtic always have to be braced for last minute bids and the Celtic boss has stated previously they have contingency plans in place just in case but revealed the Frenchman has appeared content with life at Celtic Park.

Lenny told SunSport: “We don’t want Odsonne to go, obviously, and we have had no significant interest in him as yet.

“There’s always a bit of agitation when the window is open, but speaking to him he seems content enough.

“He didn’t have his best of games in Latvia in midweek, but that’s fine.

“Odsonne is a human being at the end of the day. He’s 22.

“He didn’t have the best of games, but we know what we have got here with Odsonne.

“We know what a talent he is. He is a quality player.”

Some people forget the frontman is only 22. He has had a big impact on the team and support since moving to the club from PSG, winning Celtic big games and stepping up when we’ve needed a difference maker.

A few games off the boil is more of a concern to the media than the support. The player’s qualities are there for all to see and he could get back among the goals at any time.
