The Euros have had limited fans in the ground this summer which has been so much better than an empty stadium.

However, Hungary vs Portugal was the first full house of the competition and the sights were surreal!

The images of fans filling the stands and the noise it generated from the Puskas arena in Budapest left me yearning for the day Celtic get the green light for full capacity.

Hungary had home advantage but fell to a heart breaking 3-0 defeat — conceding three goals with just six minutes left to go of the game.

Social media was buzzing to see fans enjoying themselves and a real match atmosphere for the first time in a very long time.

Celtic and Scottish football were on lockdown all of last season with no fans allowed in. We’re hoping for a gradual reopening in the coming months but nothing is certain.

We’re yet again yet to hand over our season ticket money with no idea what games we’ll manage to attend.
