Celtic fell to an extra time Hampden defeat to The Rangers on Sunday, ending their chances of a treble for the season.

The bhoys weren’t at the races and didn’t look like themselves as they negotiated their way through the game. 0-0 at half time was about right and in the second half, the bhoys enjoyed a decent spell and managed to capitalise on it with a goal from Greg Taylor.

Celtic fans were hoping that would be enough – unfortunately a miss by CCV at 1-0 rattled the bar and gave The Ibrox side score for a comeback.

The equaliser would come from Scott Arfield who came on as a second half sub. The game went to extra time and Celtic looked out on their feet. Even Kyogo who came on for the final half an hour of normal time looked off it. The bhoys lost their two full backs for the extra portion of the match and we’re hanging on.

A goal from Sakala in the second half of injury time was enough for the Ibrox side to grab the win.

It’s a sore one for Celtic but they can’t feel sorry for themselves, they still have a title to fight for and get over the line.

Honourable mention to Bobby Madden who compounded Celtic’s day with crazy decisions.
