BT Sport pundit and former Celtic player Chris Sutton has challenged midfielder Tom Rogic to keep up the level of performance we have seen in recent games.

Writing in his weekly column for the Daily Record, Sutton has been impressed with the Aussie’s last few performances in the Hoops. However, he also states that it is now up to Rogic to maintain that impact in the side and become a mainstay once again.

“And about Tom Rogic? Fans had almost forgotten about him. A year ago, he was on his way to Qatar, and nothing much happened for him last term.

“But maybe Postecoglou knows what makes him tick from their time with Australia, and he can get him playing again.

“It would be a major boost if he does, and Rogic can do things no one else can do at Parkhead. When he’s on song, no one can touch him.

“The ball is in his court now. These are his peak years, and it’s up to him what he does about it.”

In the last two games, in particular, Rogic looks to have stepped up to the plate again under Ange Postecoglou.

Of course, the two know each other well from the Celtic boss’ time working as the Australian National team coach.

So, Postecoglou could know what it takes to get the best out of the attacking midfielder once again.

If that is the case, then Celtic are on to a winner. Rogic has shown over the years what he is capable of but, in recent seasons, struggled with injury issues and consistency.

Hopefully, we are seeing the return of Tom Rogic.
