Reo Hatate was missing on Wednesday night for the Hoops after picking up a knock in training.

Reo wasn’t seen with the rest of the Celtic squad on Friday’s training. He was being put through his paces alone. However, Ange revealed while the man from Japan had recovered from the knock, Reo fell ill on Friday and he decided to leave the player out.

Hatate is OK but fell ill on Friday so we had a decision to make.

Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and the player is back in training on Monday ahead of the Legia Warsaw game on Wednesday. The Hoops are guests at Artur Boruc’s farewell match in Poland. That game will then be followed up by the final game of pre-season against Norwich at Celtic Park.

After the Norwich tie, the bhoys will have a whole week to prepare for their SPFL opener and it all begins again!

Exciting times, and let’s hope the bhoys get through the next two games unscathed and Reo is among them.
