Reo Hatate played the first 45 minutes for Japan and was taken off at half time against Vietnam on Tuesday afternoon.

The Japanese midfielder earned his first cap for his country but won’t be happy he left the field 1-0 down to the opposition.

The great news for Celtic is Reo has only played 45 minutes over the last ten days and will be well rested ahead of the Glasgow Derby on Sunday.

The only real issue is travel and when the midfielder gets back to town.

Hatate is more than likely to start the derby at Ibrox after his heroics at Celtic Park when his brace helped send The Rangers packing.

The bhoys in green could take a huge step towards the title if they manage a win at Ibrox but it’s not going to be easy.

As the international week winds down, we’re seeing a lot of players come back in good shape and we can now add Reo to that list.

The Scotland game on Tuesday evening is our biggest concern with captain Callum McGregor still available for selection for Steve Clarke’s men. Hopefully Clarke goes with a weakened team and leaves Cal on the bench.
