Keith Jackson has claimed an exclusive in his RecordSport column over the past 24 hours, reporting Dominic McKay and Celtic are getting their ducks in a row for a massive unveiling later this week.

It seems like every week we have had one source or another telling us that particular week is going to be the week only for it not to happen.

A broken clock is correct twice a day and at some point, someone has to be right.

Jackson claims the new manager, his coaching staff and the Director of Football could all be officially in place by the end of the week.

If Eddie Howe is the man and he wants his coaching staff in place then the club now have to come to terms with their release from Bournemouth who failed to gain promotion at the weekend.

As we know, Celtic and deals don’t happen fast, it’s the reason why we didn’t land Ben Davies in January and it’s the reason why John McGinn is playing for Aston Villa.

We’re approaching June, the time to get serious was a long time ago. Any more delays and we can kiss goodbye to any notion of reclaiming our title at the first time of asking.

  1. Been hearing this same old comment for weeks now – still nothing: as usual the board dithering about and dragging their heels, it’s no wonder we lost out on potential player signings. This continued will he, won’t he saga surrounding Eddie Howe is just another example and I’m now totally sick to the back teeth of this. We need a manager in now before pre-season starts and bee signings made as well. European qualifiers are less than 2 months away or are we going to deals done just prior to these games?
