Reported Celtic target and Oxford United central defender Rob Atkinson has completed a move to English Championship side Bristol City.

As confirmed by Oxford this afternoon, the 22-year old completed his move to Bristol City, with the fee thought to be in the region of around £1.5-£2 million.

At one stage during the EFL sides interest, Celtic reportedly joined the race to sign the former Fulham defender (Read More), and he was seen as a possible target to replace the outgoing Kristoffer Ajer this summer.

Celtic are in desperate need of defensive options this summer and have been linked with moves for several different targets as Ange Postecoglou looks to add to the numbers at the back.

Last season, the Hoops were very vulnerable in that area. So, the club will also be looking at the best available option to sure up that area of the pitch.

Fingers crossed, we can see some movement for more of these targets in the coming weeks as we prepare for the Champions League qualifiers later this month.
