Celtic know they might have to field a few bids for their players this summer but one guy who has not been on the radar when it comes to a Parkhead exit is Scott Sinclair.

The top goal scorer of the treble treble and Rodgers signing has been part of the furniture at the club for the past three seasons as he’s helped win Celtic every domestic trophy on offer.

Celtic and Scott came to an agreement to extend his Celtic deal by a year before the last season had ended – the Englishman happy to keep going under Neil Lennon.

However, it looks like the player and club’s resolve might be tested with newly promoted Sheffield Utd reportedly sniffing around the former Man City man.

According to SunSport, the Premier League side are seriously looking at moving for the Celtic star in a bid to bring some real quality into their Premier League squad. The tabloid quote £2m but we’re not sure where they get that idea from?

The fact the midfielder is on the last year of his deal means you might get a little less than anticipated but Stuart Armstong was sold on the last year of his deal for £8million to Southampton.

Sinclair seems happy at Celtic but if a big bid comes in I wonder if he’d be one of the players who would be vulnerable.
