The rumour mill has been in full swing this pre-season. Olivier Ntcham, Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor the source of most peoples attention when it comes to outgoings at Celtic Park.

Contrary to what others may want you to believe, Celtic still have some real quality in the squad and that’s why our players are in demand this summer.

The Celtic board knew before the end of the season they would have serious decisions to make with regards to personnel. The aforementioned players obviously at the top of their agenda.

However, the Celtic hierarchy could be thrown a curve ball this transfer window with reports Sheffield Utd have shown interest in treble treble star Scott Sinclair.

The Englishman recently signed a new one-year deal with the club to be part of Neil Lennon’s squad this season. However, he is one of the highest paid players in the team and being on the last year of his deal – the player can walk away for nothing next summer.

Some will be flippant about this decision and say the board should cash in on the midfielder but the guy who has scored more goal through the treble treble era should not be abandoned so lightly.

If the club are going to field offers for Scotty before the close of the window we hope to see them take his contributions into account and either demand a decent fee or just point blank refuse to sell.
