Ex-Celtic manager Ronny Deila and ex-Celtic player Gary Mackay-Stevens have gone into self-isolation after a staff member from New York City Football Club tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The pair along with all other players and coaching staff at the club that came in contact with the individual have reacted by entering into self-isolation. The club says that the staff member is already feeling well after displaying mild symptoms and is observing appropriate isolation protocols.

The New York club issued a lengthy defiant statement on their website. The majority of states in America have reacted to this worldwide pandemic, although American President Donald Trump dragged his feet at the start and denied that the US was in any real danger and that they were in complete control. There are still some states who have not reacted yet with Florida been the most noticeable.

The only way this virus will be stopped in its tracks is by a universal approach, it only takes one country to not use the proper sanctions to keep this virus alive and travelling.

A lot of Celtic fans still have a lot of affection for Ronny and we all hope him, GMS and the rest of the people at the New York City Football Club have acted in time and the virus is not spread to anyone else.
