Scott Brown has been approached by St Mirren as Jim Goodwin looks set to be announced as Aberdeen boss.

St Mirren want to hold talks with the Aberdeen captain and ex-celt Scott Brown over a managerial position with the Paisley club after Aberdeen agreed a deal with Jim Goodwin to be their next manager.

Aberdeen have sealed a deal with the Buddies to bring Goodwin up to the Granite City on a two-and-a-half year deal, with an option for a further year with the Dons. Aberdeen are expected to confirm Goodwin’s appointment by Saturday and he will be in Lanarkshire where the Dons face Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
St Mirren will look to hold talks with current Aberdeen captain and ex-Celtic man Scott Brown, who could be a possible replacement to Jim Goodwin. [MailSport]
Scott Brown joined Aberdeen after signing a pre-contract player/coach deal from Celtic last March.
Broony has made 23 league appearances for the Dons so far this season.
During his time in the green and white hoops for Celtic he made over 600 appearances winning 10 Scottish Premiership titles, 6 Scottish Cups and 6 Scottish League Cups amongst those appearances. The Former Celtic captain has established himself as a Celtic legend.
The 36 year old still has another year left on his contract after this one and was part of Aberdeen’s interim coaching team during the midweek game against St Johnstone. However, the Dons may let Scott speak to Premiership rivals St Mirren. It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.

The Celtic legend, nine-in-a-row winning captain could now get his chance to progress his career into management. Should he take this chance could mean the end of a legendary playing career for Scott Brown.
