Scott Brown took part in a special interview with the club at the SEC on Thursday night and for the 3,000 supporters in attendance – it was a big hit.

The player talked about his early career at Hibernian, moving to Celtic and the struggles with becoming a first team player.

The Celtic captain recalling Bobo Balde chasing him around training during his first week.

The intimate setting the Armadillo lent itself to a fantastic night.

Neil Lennon came on stage to talk about his captain and during the evening they were also joined by another former captain, Stephen McManus.

To round off the night, Martin Compston and Peter Martin came onto the stage to talk about Broony. There was a lot of laughter on the evening.

Our takeaway from the event would certainly be the esteem in which Scott Brown is thought of by not just the supporters but his peers.

The amount of things you forget he’s done at the club because he’s been so far is crazy. The player will truly go down as one of Celtic’s greatest ever captains.
