The SFA and SPFL joint action group have tonight posted an update on the current situation with regards to the game in Scotland.

It reiterated the shut down pending any government notice but Ian Maxwell did make the admission things could become a lot clearer after their meeting with UEFA on Tuesday.

Maxwell told the SFA website:

Many thousands of fans are looking forward to the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-finals and the UEFA Nations League play-off against Israel. We understand that they, and all fans of Scottish football, will want urgent clarity about those games. We expect to be in a position after tomorrow’s UEFA conference call, to make a further announcement.”

UEFA will have a meeting with all 55 member associations on a video conference on Tuesday with the European football calendar on the agenda and how we go from here.

Celtic posted the statement tonight for their supporters but have nothing else to update us on at the minute.

Talks of null and void competitions, the leagues up and down Europe being called as they stand or a potential play-on date have all been the topic of conversation.

We should expect this story to be much further down the line tomorrow if UEFA ave a grasp of the situation.
