When I bring referees up after a loss I’m told I’m a sore loser. When I bring a referee up after a win, I’m told to move on because we’ve won. When am I allowed to talk about the referees performances in Scottish football if that’s the case?
Celtic won 6-0 against Dundee on Sunday in a thoroughly entertaining performance. The Hoops burst back onto the SPFL scene with an emphatic win and not before time.
However, the one negative yesterday was the performance of referee Euan Anderson.
There were two major flash points; tackles on Anthony Ralston and Ryan Christie. Both incidents warranted more action than the referee cared to deliver.

The tackle on Ralston by Marshall was a potential season ender, he’s gone in recklessly and it’s a clear as day sending off. The referee gives a yellow out and moves on. What kind of signal does that send to other chancers who will try to use these kind of tactics to keep Celtic at bay. Someone is going to get seriously hurt.
Ryan Christie was also subject to a sore looking ankle knock shortly after where the referee did absolutely nothing – Dundee would get the would 3 seconds later. It’s just not good enough.
Over and above that, there’s just so much inconsistency in the way things are dealt with by Scottish referees. People talk about VAR but it’s going to be the same people controlling that! Scottish football need to bring in full time professional referees before introducing VAR to the table.

Today’s tabloid newspaper scores the referee as having “had a good game”, “allowing the game to flow!” Hahaha, you couldn’t make it up. Let’s just say it as it is: The referee, like all of them, is as orange as can be and despises Celtic, Irish republicanism and the church of Rome, and when given the chance will do everything in his power to subvert and destroy Celtic’s right to a fair crack of the whip. These people are shameful and I think we should forcibly remove them and their hand-shaking cohorts within the SFA. Rip up their aprons and stuff them down their throats.

I’ve been saying for years that the SFA and SPFL are archaic industries holding our game back, until they’re cleaned out nothing will change, they need to be swept right out from top to bottom. We’ve known for over a century that they’re corrupt and that they favour only one club, these are the people who appoint our match day referees and they know what they’re doing when they make the appointments.
All these ‘honest mistakes’ that refs keep making means they’re either incompetent or they know what they’re doing and just don’t give a shit. All referees in Scotland should be made to come out and explain decisions after games like players and managers have to do post match and every single one of them should have to name the club they support.
Is going to take a player getting a career ending injury to make things change. We’ve always known what we’re up against and it’s time for all clubs to come together and implement change. If that doesn’t happen then we’ll always be pissing against the wind HH
And for the second week in a row, what should have been a red card goes undiscussed on Sportscene. But wait until they think Celtic get away with a dodgy decision. It will be the main talking point.
Everybody on here has got it spot on. I really fear forour new bhoys as they wiil run rings round a vast majority of the Scottish defence. How long wiil they take that before they deal out “their justice”. We should have realised that when Madden did nothing when hearts player smashed Calums ankle. That could easily have been a career ending tackle. The Celtic board NEED to call out the SFA or there will be players that are seriously injured. You can see they’ll go after Abada and Kyogo as they will make defences look poor. Celtic FC need to stand up for our players.
