We’ve covered the Boli BolingolI handball incident in depth already since the game on Saturday.

Pundits were claiming Celtic got away with one but we revealed Celtic should’ve been awarded a free kick before it even got to Boli’s hand because Motherwell player Kevin Van Veen handballed it first.

Despite that, former referee Declan Gallagher has claimed the referee couldn’t give it because his view was obstructed, but he did insist it was a penalty.

Cited by SunSport, Gallagher said: “It’s handball by Bolingoli but in fairness to the referee, Van Veen completely obscures the referee’s view.

“He’s behind Van Veen and he doesn’t see it – so he can’t give it.”

There was more than one questionable decision this weekend at Ibrox and there appears to be an attempt to say both Glasgow clubs get big decisions in their favour. It’s not true and this week it’s really not true. Despite the evidence to the contrary, we’re still seeing the same faces cry it was a penalty kick.

Had Celtic been punished for the handball, we would have felt very aggrieved.

Celtic won the game 2-0 on the day and never looked in trouble during the game.
