Sky Sports chief reporter has tonight stated that transfers in January will still be able to happen despite a nationwide lockdown in both Scotland and England.
While the whole country locks down, elite sports are allowed to continue and part of that is transfers.
The January window opened on Saturday and there were fears tonight any rules would stop UK clubs bringing in foreign talent.
That’s not the case and clubs will be able to gain permission to bring players in from other countries over the next month.
DCMS also confirms tonight that international transfers – and players travelling to complete moves in UK – will be unaffected by latest lockdown, given elite sport exemptions #SSN #COVID19

Celtic are in the market for a centre-back and right sided midfielder. The club have been casting their eye over a few players down south but a deal further afield could be on the table before the month is out.
It remains to be seen if Celtic can pull back a major deficit in the league. Things looks impossible but we can’t be seen to give up.
