The SPFL bosses are considering bringing the kick-off time of some mid-week games forward from evening kick-offs to afternoon kick-offs.

As reported by the Sun, as fans continue to miss out on being at games during the current time, the SPFL and clubs are considering all ways that money could be saved, as it would mean less staff may be required and also at the very least clubs may be able to save money by not having to use the floodlights.

This would come as a bit of a drastic change, with the majority of part-time clubs being unable to do it but I am sure it will be a change considered by the top professional sides.

One problem it may cause though is the ability of some fans being able to watch the game. During the afternoon, on a mid-week day is when many supporters would be at work or school, even despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

There certainly are a lot of different factors to consider before giving this the go-ahead, but it would be an interesting one if games were to kick-off at these times for a mid-week fixture.
