It was a poor night for the so-called best league in the world, as both Arsenal and Manchester City were knocked out of the Champions League.
As the outcry started, Stan Collymore, the former England international, took to social media to comment on the results. He noted that only big clubs have won the European Cup, now known as the Champions League and have done so without cheating, alluding to Man City’s 115 charges.
He took to X, formally Twitter, to vent his frustrations, posting:
Don't forget kids, you're only a big club when you've won the European Cup , and you're only a really big club when you've done it without cheating.

Scottish football fans have been voicing their frustrations with the Champions League for years now. With potentially five teams from England entering the competition next season, it’s losing its ‘champions’ element and is becoming a league for Europe’s richest.
Scotland have now lost their automatic Champions League spot for the 25/26 season, with the Czech Republic overtaking Scotland in the coefficient tables this season. Celtic, if they win the league next season, will need to go through the play off rounds again.
