KILMARNOCK Boss Steve Clarke has opened up and explained the reasons behind what he said after the Kilmarnock game on Wednesday night.

Clarke looked visibly upset as he took his post-match press conference and declared the sort of sectarian vitriol aimed at him from the terraces. Clarke would like to see change and believes the problem with religious intolerance is something which should shame this part of the world.

Kris Boyd was also in attendance as he spoke about being hit by a coin from a Celtic fan in recent weeks as well as having ‘Orange B*****’ chanted at him; two things which are not on.

The problem is, everybody is willing to point the finger at the other but nobody wants to take responsibility for their own actions or the actions of some of their fans.

Clarke spoke of the sort of bigotry displayed by the old Rangers back in the day when they wanted to sign him as a player. Being a Catholic, it was never on the table.

Some have their problems more than others but it’s up to our own fans to sort out our own issues instead of pointing fingers elsewhere.

Listen to Clarke deliver his press conference this morning.

  1. If you wish you can be as bigotted as you want. In the privacy of your room, car, toilet local clubhouse. Football stadia, before or after a game is no place for this ancient shi7e. If you all wish to shout or say your bile. Please pick a time and place to meet who your aiming it at. And do it mano a mano. And get laughed at and then punched and kicked by those present or former and still very fit sportspersons. Not only will the blood drain from your head, but be all over you and the kerb
