Vakoun Bayo was selected for his country to participate in the Olympics later this month, but the striker has pulled out of the squad according to RecordSport.

The newspaper claims the Celtic flop is heading to Belgium to seal a move away from Celtic in the coming days – the club currently unknown.

Vakoun was on loan at Toulouse last term and did well for the French side who narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight.

Had they won promotion their plan was to buy the Celtic striker outright but due to lack of funds, they couldn’t get a deal done for the player under the first option terms they pre-agreed with Celtic.

Bayo never got a proper run in the Celtic side but he didn’t look the most confidence when he did get his chance. The player was signed by Brendan Rodgers on recommendation from Kolo Toure who was a Celtic coach at the time.
