In terms of timing, David Moyes West Ham renaissance poses an intriguing challenge for Celtic supporters who once wrote him off as being a potential Celtic boss.

Moyes has been through the wars since leaving Everton and taking on the Manchester Utd job. He was even sacked by West Ham before being brought back which has proven to be a great decision for the London club.

This season, Moyes has currently taken West Ham to fifth in the league, two points off a Champions League spot. The 3-3 thriller with Arsenal at the weekend will be seen as points dropped by the Hammers but it’s still a decent result.

Celtic need a new manager and there are arguments for and against having a younger more hungry manager with more to prove.

Moyes would be a departure from that thinking and be more of a solid, veteran base for Celtic to build a new squad.

I think there’s a section of our fanbase who have just outright made their mind up on Moyers never being the Celtic boss.

For the West Ham manager, he’s in a great position if he can keep West Ham up near the top of the EPL table, a bumper new deal will likely be on the table for the Scot.

The fact Celtic are looking for a manager and he’s linked with the post bumps that deal up higher.

The goal for Moyes has always seemingly been to be a successful Premier League manager, so if he’s wanted down south, I believe he’ll stay there and the catch 22 is, if he’s not wanted down south, I think more Celtic fans would not be happy with his appointment.
