Sparta Prague attacker Lukas Julies has admitted he wishes he could play the Scottish Champions every week, after grabbing five goals across the two games against Neil Lennon’s side.

As quoted by Sun Sport, Julies who scored a double for the Czech side in Thursday nights 4-1 drubbing of Celtic, revealed comments that he made to his team-mates about playing the Hoops every week after their pathetic performances in both games.

“I said to my team mates after the game if they could create chances like that for me every week and not just when we play Celtic, it would be good!

“But of course it would be great to keep playing against Celtic if I keep scoring like that.

“My second goal was just like a training exercise – I was completely alone. We practice that at training, but of course, you don’t expect to be all on your own in a match.”

In Sparta’s last six games, they have won just two conceding three-plus goals in each of their losses. Of course, those two victories came against Celtic in the emphatic wins in both Scotland and the return game in the Czech Republic.

We went into this group as the top seed and we have already been knocked out, with two games to spare and also have teams making fun of us for our performances.

Last year, was were qualifying with two games to spare, so to be at this stage already this season is very embarrassing. Many can’t believe we’ve got to this point after some of the success we had in the group stages last season. This year it really has been nothing to shout home about, that’s for sure.
