There are plenty of photoshopped images of the Pope on the internet holding Celtic jerseys. The reason I say the photos were altered is after witnessing his Holiness hold an “Efe Ambrose Ballon D’or” t-shirt.
For some Celtic fans, their faith is everything, for others, they are just happy that it winds certain “people” up. For one young Celtic fan, aged 7, he wanted to give a gift from Glasgow that looks like it was well received on the steps of Saint Peter’s Square.

The young Bhoys gesture has not gone unnoticed back home in the tabloids, with the Scotsman running with the story this morning.
Artur Boruc was a big fan of the Pope, he famously wore a Pope t-shirt after a Glasgow derby win, he was lucky he was not charged with not “acting in the best interests of association football”. Although, he did get reported to the police for blessing himself.
