Forest Green have confirmed Celtic have a break clause in the loan deal for Jack Aitchison who has been firing in all cylinders for the League two club this term.

At a time where Celtic have been using Lewis Morgan as a striker due to injury – Aitchison has been down south getting game time.

However, could circumstances dictate Celtic cutting the deal short in January?

The player has been a good fit for the League two side and they’re delighted with his work so far.

“We thought it’d be a good link for us as a club to get a player from a club the size of Celtic and build a relationship with them.” Rich Hughes, Forest Green’s recruitment chief told SunSport.

“Celtic were really good in helping to facilitate it and they’ve been keeping in constant contact.

“We send them clips of all his games and we’ve been invited up to see if there’s any other players they can help us with.”

“The deal is for the season but comes with a break clause, which is common in most deals, but I think they’re happy.

“We’re certainly more than happy with Jack. We think it’s a good fit.”

We forget Jack is only 19. The player became Celtic’s youngest goal scorer under Ronny a Deila during the Norwegian’s last game for the club. The striker’s name has been in the public domain for so long, some may think he’s older than he actually is.

If Celtic are struggling for fit strikers come the January break, surely they would take a look at potentially cutting the loan deal short.

Right now, Celtic need to get Edouard properly back up and running and see how much Leigh can contribute on a weekly basis.

It’s Hibernian up next for the bhoys and we’re unsure at this juncture who will start up front.
