Mikael Lustig posted on his Instagram today that it’s ‘Time to go home’ much to the delight of fans.

The Swedish international helped his country to the quarter finals of the World a cup but was unfortunately suspended for their defeat to England that seen Sweden crash out.

Since then, the player has been on holiday with his family after an energy zapping double treble season and then his international exploits.

Mikael returns to Lennoxtown tomorrow morning and is ready to answer Brendan Rodgers’ SOS with Rosenborg on the horizon.

The Celtic manager will assess the player’s fitness on Monday and a Tuesday and decide quickly if he could play a part in the Champions League tie.

Rodgers spoke of the discipline he has instilled in the players and that everyone of them has come back to pre-season looking very sharp.

If Lustig can show the same, there’s s chance he plays against the Norwegians.
