UEFA are apparently warning leagues not to follow the route of Belgium and call their leagues as they stand right now until it’s absolutely necessary.

Belgium are poised to crown Brugge champions and start getting on with preparing for next season.

Mail Sport is reporting that course of action right now could see punishment.

UEFA are in denial about the severity and far reaching issues which will be caused by this pandemic, even after it peaks in most countries.

Belgium are trying to safeguard their clubs by taking decisive action which will allow them to look to next season, whenever that may be.

There’s going to be an SPFL summit on Monday to talk about the next move for Scottish Football. Calling the league now, while unfortunate could help clubs with prize money, and the ability to effectively start selling season books for next term.

UEFA have already said they wouldn’t interfere in the outcome of leagues but it doesn’t sound like they’re keeping that promise.
