Celtic fans have been watching on with interest as Scottish football clubs bicker with each other over the current state of play.

The Scottish champions have been very quiet as statement after statement has poured out from several different clubs over the past month.

Celtic’s position is clear, they want to see out the season on the field but if it’s not possible they voted with the proposal to end the season as it stands. That has been their communication and that’s all they have said throughout.

The war of words between The Rangers and the SPFL has been the talk of the day but other clubs like Inverness coming out and then Dunfermline with statements refuting allegations of bullying etc.

There’s an EGM set for Tuesday where clubs will get to vote on an independent inquiry into the proposal and the governance of our game. Celtic have still not said a word or even indicated which way they will vote.

One Celtic fan pointed out the humorous fact on social media that while civil was breaking out in our game – Celtic were posting about how nice their grass looks.

Celtic did state they would be renewing their pitch while the shutdown was in place and perhaps showing they’re nearly ready to go if football could be played in the near future.

It’s humorous nonetheless.

  1. They are more to be pitied than scorned, after all, their lack of a meaningful education is their failsafe excuse for stupidity.
