The wild rumour going around the past 24 hours is Celtic could be in the market to bring Victor Wanyama home this deadline day. It’s always going to feel like an outside shot but people who thought his move to Club Brugge was done and dusted – think again!
With a deal in place and Victor Wanyama holding talks with the Belgian’s, it looks as if the player opted NOT to sign for them and the club have since brought in a central midfielder.
Journalist Kristof Terreur has made the claim that’s it for Brugge and Wanyama now.
No Victor Wanyama for Club Brugge. They have signed Eder Balanta instead. #thfc pic.twitter.com/U5ADP13d3V

It’s still a long jump from this deal not happening and Wanyama potentially returning to Celtic.
The player did say there was always a chance he could return in future and with the English window already closed the midfielder’s options are limited for the upcoming season – unless he wants to stay at Spurs and fight for his place.
It’s deadline day for Scotland and the rest of Europe and the window slams shut at midnight. It could be an interesting ride.
This is the 9 in a row season push the boat out and do the signing and get the party started do it Celtic…
