Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has been praised by Australian fans – for the part he played in the Socceroos, taking the lead once again this evening against Oman.
Australia took an early first-half lead in the game before being pegged back by the away side, who levelled up the scoring just before the half-hour mark.
Shortly after the break, though, Australia hit back and got themselves back in front.
It was a goal made in the SPFL, with Rogic making an intelligent pull-back to the centre of the box. The first effort was saved before getting tapped home by Hibs winger Martin Boyle.

Really intelligent little cutback from Rogic.
Boyle nearly gets his head kicked off, but good finish too.
On with it now, lads! #AsianQualifiers

We haven’t seen it as much this season, but he was replaced just after the hour mark – a trademark of the Rogic of old at Celtic.
Thye will be hoping to hold out for a good result tonight. Next up for Australia, though, is Japan, with Rogic set to face off against Celtic teammate Kyogo Furuhashi.
