Celtic star and Scotland hero Ryan Christie was in tears during his post-match interview in Serbia after he and his team-mates qualified for the European Championships.

Christie got the goal in the second half which looked to safely set Scotland on their way, it was after the midfielder had been subbed off, Serbia would get their equaliser and then go on to dominate extra time.

It all came down to penalties as the players, coaches and a whole nation held their breath. Five out of five for Scotland in the penalty shootout with Leigh Griffiths getting the first one and Callum McGregor also stepping up on the night.

Ryan was crying tears of joy as he tried to keep it together for the cameras. Nobody could begrudge the Celtic star a few tears over what they’ve just accomplished; 22 years of failure washed away in one evening. Well done Ryan, and well done Scotland.
