We all know pre-season is a special time for our pals across the city.

When no football is played, they become the most formidable team in world football, and if the hype matched the reality, we may as well not turn up to defend our title, our Scottish Cup and our League Cup.

Being the best team in the world, it would figure they at least have the best player in Scotland, and you’d be right.

According to these three numpties, Todd Cantwell trumps any Celtic player by ‘a mile’.

Forgive me if I’ve got this wrong, but wasn’t he part of the Rangers team that bottled the semi-final? Sorry again if I’ve got this wrong, but wasn’t your man part of the team who was beaten at Celtic Park in their last chance to get back into a title race?

The real TikTok Tod showed up for the final game at Ibrox when the title was already in the bag for the hoops, and Ange fielded a weakened side.

Now, we’re not in the business of moonbeams or denials. Todd appears to be a decent player and someone who should do them a turn, but to label him as the best player in Scottish football is laughable.

Callum McGregor alone is worth his weight in gold, Reo Hatate, CCV, Kyogo. By the way, all these guys have five or more medals. What about Toddy Boy?

Unfortunately for our pals, the football has to start back shortly.
