Celtic’s David Turnbull has propelled his team into the lead with a blistering strike in the James Forrest testimonial match against Athletic Club.

The goal was the result of a beautifully orchestrated move, initiated by a precision pull-back from Hyeongyu Oh. As the ball reached Turnbull, he wasted no time, showcasing his finishing prowess as he fired the ball into the top corner of the net. The goalkeeper had no chance, merely a spectator as the ball zoomed past into the back of the net.

Turnbull’s stunning strike has further invigorated the atmosphere at Celtic Park, with the huddle starting around the stadium.

Turnbull, with his exceptional goal, has provided a moment of true footballing brilliance, adding to the highlights of a match that honours a Celtic legend.

Despite the changes at half time, Celtic have been terrific in the second half, with some brilliant individual performances on display. Matt O’Riley has been terrific in the Callum McGregor role and Abada and Bernabei have been lively on the left hand side.

  1. Scales has vastly improved (loan at Aberdeen seems to have done him good), Oh and Bernabei have got much better after obviously settling off the park.

Yang and Holm look good already. Holm especially looks composed on the ball for such a young guy.

Abada, O’Reilly and Turnbull look better already under Rodgers.

New contract for Turnbull is now a must as he is also a home grown player in Europe which is crucial.

Looks good for the season ahead.

    HH!
