Former Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic scored a stunning goal at the weekend for his current signed Union Berlin – scoring from a direct free kick in the Bundesliga.
We knew Juranovic was capable of this, but it’s not something we got to see during his 18 months in Glasgow!
The Croatian left Celtic in January after failing to come to terms on a fresh deal with the club. When talks broke down, Celtic went out and found another right back in preparation for Josip’s departure. The Hoops signed Alistair Johnston even before JJ had left the building.
Alistair has come in and hit the ground running, helping the bhoys to a league cup victory and playing in three Glasgow derbies without defeat.

Juranovic looks like he’s enjoying himself. Berlin are third in the Bundesliga, just behind Dortmund and Munich.
They did lose ground to the two German giants against Bochum when Juranovic’s stunning strike was cancelled out by a penalty – the game finishing 1-1.
