Celtic winger James Forrest has given the Hoops the lead against Dundee at Dens Park.

After a pass from Reo Hatate, the ball was fired into Kyogo Furuhashi, who cushioned it in Forrest’s direction.

The Scottish winger took the ball first time with an outrageous volley into the bottom right corner, leaving Dundee goalkeeper Jon McCracken no chance in the 30th minute of the game.

Forrest has yet again shown his worth to Celtic.

Despite being linked with a surprising move away from the club in January, he has demonstrated that he is every bit as good as any other winger at the club.

Brendan Rodgers previously labelled him as the best winger at the club, and on current form, it is hard to argue against him.

Despite Forrest being currently 32 years old, he is just as effective in creating chances and scoring goals as ever.

With his age, Rodgers is more than aware of managing Forrest’s minutes, meaning at times he won’t start games and will be substituted earlier than some would want.

But ultimately, the Irishman does this to get the very best out of the Hoops winger while avoiding injury setbacks.
