As soon as the news came out from down south about Scott McTominay potentially being sent out on-loan, the media were very quick to link Celtic with the Manchester United midfielder. Forget that Celtic are currently fine in with players in his position and have bigger fish to fry in other areas of the team.
The transfer speculation has been reaching ridiculous heights this window, with anyone withing a 1000mile radius of Celtic Park being linked with a move to the club.
James McCarthy was also linked with a move to Celtic on-loan yesterday, but again nothing concrete.
We put it to the Celtic fans what midfielder they would rather have in at Celtic for the rest of the season in a Twitter poll, and the results so far are quite interesting.
This is currently a live poll, but at last check, only 17% of Celtic fans polled were in favour of a move for Scott McTominay with the other 83% preferring either James McCarthy or neither with McCarthy on 40% and neither at 43%.

Celtic has only made one official permanent signing in this window at the moment, and by the looks of it, fans are eager to see players coming in who are here for the long haul.
