John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan could still be part of the club next season according to reports.

The Hoops are chasing Eddie Howe and are hopeful they can land the former Bournemouth man leaving the current interim setup in no man’s land.

However, SunSport is reporting today both Kennedy and Strachan could have a part in Eddie Howe’s backroom team if the Englishman does come in.

To be honest, this would be a disappointing turn of events if it was the case.

Celtic fans want a clean break from the old regime and a new way of thinking. Having both men still at the club when Howe doesn’t know them personally from the off is a tough one.

I could maybe see the benefit in keeping John Kennedy in a diminished role for continuity purposes but I’m not sure where Gavin Strachan fits in.

I don’t want to see anyone lose their jobs but this rebuild has to be spot on and if we have any stragglers with the stench of this season on them, it could backfire.
