NEIL LENNON was gushing in his praise of James Forrest after he netted again for the bhoys in their 2-0 win over St Mirren.

The bhoys had a tough time of it in the first half but the constant pressure on the St Mirren backline finally showed and they made the breakthrough with Mohamed Elyounoussi getting on the end of an Odsonne Edouard strike which cannoned off the post.

James would make it 2-0 just minutes later and in doing so ensured all three point for Neil Lennon’s side on the night.

It capped off a wonderful Wednesday for the Celtic star who had just put pen to paper on a new four-year-deal with the club. Neil Lennon was delighted to see his winder commit the next four years to Celtic and revealed he was priceless to Celtic.

“James was brilliant. We gave him a new deal and I don’t care how much money we pay. He’s priceless to me.” Neil Lennon told Celtic TV.

“What would he cost? A goalscoring winger who has been doing it consistently for 10 years and won treble Player of the Year awards.

“You’d start the bidding at £25m. That’s what I would ask for anyway, but he’s not going anywhere.

“James is in his peak years and is part of a front four that can be devastating when they turn it on.”

Since Brendan Rodgers came into the club, the midfielder has just got better and better and he’s continuing to shine under Neil Lennon who handed James his debut as an 18-year-old.

Forrest’s continuing loyalty to Celtic should be praised and admired and if we do make ten in a row, he will be a big part of the reason why we do it.
