MIKAEL LUSTIG has opened up about his visit to Ibrox as a fan after picking up a suspension that ruled the Swede out of playing any part in proceedings.

As the game got underway social media was soon abuzz with pictures and videos of Lustig, Compper and Griffiths taking their place in the Broomloan end.

Leigh would tie a scarf to the railings and fly a tricolour in what was a fantastic win for the bhoys.

Talking to the Celtic View, Lustig recalls the game well.

“It was an a amazing game and watching it in the stand makes you feel like a fan

“It was a special occasion and sitting in amongst the fans is the best place to be when you can’t play

“There are a lot of ups and downs as well. It was quite tough mentally.

“The fans give such incredible support and when the third goal went in everyone went crazy. With us down to 10 men and then Edouard’s goal, it was a perfect end to the game.”

Lustig is scheduled to head to the World Cup with Sweden this summer, the defender expects very little rest between this season ending, World Cup participation and then preparing for Celtic’s qualifiers.
