The fresh set of Ange Postecoglou rumours to Brighton have been born out of a tweet by someone far from in the know and then carried on by the Sunday Post mentioning betting odds.

If you’re waking up to a wave of articles suggesting Brighton are chasing Ange and he could go to the EPL club, there’s nothing new in this at all and speaks to the medias relentless push to find a story where there’s very little to go on. Most Scottish News papers are delivering their own version of this story. If you’re seeing multiple articles from different sources, they’re all leeching from the same flimsy source

Like it or not, Ange is starting to make noises in Europe with what he’s doing at Celtic. We expect more stories like this as we head down the line.

What do we know?

Ange remains committed to Celtic. There has been no approach by Brighton for the Hoops boss and one wouldn’t be welcome.

We all got burned when Brendan Rodgers up and left the building, and I’ll never back any person to stay at our club 100% since that day.

Ange is building something special, he just came off a game against Real Madrid where despite the loss, supporters were chanting his name as the full time whistle went. Brighton offers EPL football, Celtic offers much, much more.

  1. Why is there no statement from Ange, and or the board to say these rumours are are not in the slightest true and that the board and Ange have no inclination of going to another club , and if that’s the case get Ange on a long term contract to keep this from gathering speed again.
