In the past half an hour, BBC is reporting that ten close contacts of three people inside the Scotland under 21 camp who have contracted the virus have been told to isolate.

Scott Gemmil’s side failed to qualify for the Euros during the international break but now the team have more pressing problems.

Celtic had two players on international duty with that squad; David Turnbull and Stephen Welsh. Ross Doohan was also in the side but is out on loan at present.

We’re unsure if this will affect either player at this point with no names being dropped at present.

Turnbull having to isolate would be a big blow in the respect many seen now as the time for the player to start getting more game time. We have our fingers crossed he is not one of the players who has been told to isolate.

Furthermore, if Welsh or Turnbull have come back into the training ground after being near positive cases, it could hamper Celtic in the coming days if either contracted the virus and mingled with the squad before being told to isolate.

We will bring you more news on the names of the players and coaching staff when we get it.
