It was billed as a must win for Norway but in the end they got a point out of nowhere with a last gasp equaliser.

Ajer and co were just off a draw with Spain last week when they took on Romania hoping for all three points. However, it didn’t go to plan from the start and in the end the Norwegians coming away with a point certainly flattered them.

Romania were in full attacking mode and were unlucky not to take the lead on several occasions. However, Norway were dealt a blow when Bobby Madden pointed to the spot for a very soft penalty. Ajer can’t even escape these ridiculous Scottish refs on international duty.

The penalty was saved and Norway survived up until the 57th minute when Romania did take the lead. The home side would nearly double their advantage when a header bounced off the cross bar and onto the goal line – Norway narrowly surviving.

In the dying minutes, Romania would be made to pay for their missed opportunities when a ball into the box was found by Alexander Sorloth to make it 1-1 on the night.
