Celtic pulled it out of the bag on a day of high drama at Celtic Park and there was a familiar face in the stands as The Hoops came within two points of the league leaders.

Former Celtic Boss Brendan Rodgers made an appearance in Glasgow, his first visit to a packed Celtic Park since he was the manager. Brendan has been in attendance at Billy McNeill’s and Bertie Aulds funeral but he hasn’t been back to watch his old side.

The Irishman took his seat in the stands and will have known all too well what Ange was going through on the touchline as Celtic looked to close the gap at the top of the table.

It looked like it wasn’t going to happen but a 90th minute winner from Liel Abada gave Celtic all three points and set up a very intriguing Glasgow Derby.

We assume Brendan was just there to take in the game. Hopefully, there’s no ulterior motive/scouting going on.

  1. St Brendan wasn’t up in Glasgow to buy players, as he (and his team’s financiers) could afford most of the team twice over.
Maybe he was up for a laugh, or to enjoy Glaswiegen night life.
